This hat is truly a handmade work of art that is flexible, packable, functional, stylish and fun to wear. It's got some weight and thickness and is not paper thin like a straw hat. I was out in 30 mph wind gusts and it did not blow off but I also made sure to have it pulled down on my head good as you will see in some pics. I got this hat to keep the sun out of my eyes, because it's cute, I've always wanted one of these hats but wanted a well made one, and I love handmade pieces. I ordered SIZE M/L. There is an elastic band sewn inside which helps to give a good hold and fit. This hat feels strong and like it is made to last. I am extremely happy with my choice!!!
