Materials: Sustainably harvested cork with a natural rubber backing; Carrying strap 50% polyester, 50% organic cotton
Care: Cork is antimicrobial, so there is no need to worry about germs, mold, or mildew forming and no need to clean regularly (the cork sanitizes itself naturally!). After practice, lay the mat flat to air dry. If there is dirt or body oils, wipe the mat down with a soft cloth and warm water. Every once in a while, wiping the mat with a mixture of mild soap and water discourages stains from settling. DO NOT put your Scoria yoga mat in the washing machine
Scoria ensures a 1 year warranty for unusual wear and tear and manufacturing defects on their cork yoga mats (please note warranty is void and does not cover damage caused by long sun exposure, mistreating the mat, or rolling the mat incorrectly). I moved my workout from 6am to 6pm just because I was waiting for it to be delivered later on today, I couldn’t wait to test it out.
I did much research trying to find the perfect yoga mat that is non toxic and this is it!
You can feel and see the quality materials and natural dyes used for the design. I was looking for a mat that didn’t use toxic adhesives to keep it together so I love that about this product.
It’s not light but I personally expected the weight hence the materials.
The grip was perfect, I can focus on my workout not how much I’m slipping from being sweaty.
Yes if there is no heat or moisture it can feel like there is no grip but that changes quickly as you workout.
It smells a bit of rubber but it’s not intense to where it affects your ability to be on the mat, plus I’m hoping it goes away.
I’m super happy with my purchase, I recommend it if you’re still thinking of going elsewhere.
After 12 days this item still hasn’t arrived. Extremely disappointed!
