The Long Handled Agave Dish Brush is a versatile and attractive tool that is begging to replace your tired plastic scrubbers. With a detachable and replaceable agave bristle head, you'll be able to get in to every nook and cranny as well as have a wallet friendly option that is always ready to tackle a task. The handle is made from fast-growing bamboo, which is a great alternative to plastic. We're so in love with it's aesthetic and ability to handle the toughest jobs, we keep one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom!
Care: Add a small amount of soap to a cup of vinegar and soak your brush in the liquid for about 10 minutes to kill germs and remove bacteria; Rinse with hot water; Lay brush bristles down to dry. We recommend oiling the wood once every few months. *Keep handle from soaking in water for long periods to extend the life of your brush. Each brush can last 6 months to 2 years depending on usage.
Materials: Sustainably grown teak wood, and agave fiber that is grown, harvested and sun dried using traditional techniques.
End of Life: Each brush head can be used for 3+ months. Once worn out, replace the head. The wood and agave parts can be composted or buried in your garden and the silver metal part can be recycled.

I wish the handle was thicker so it was a more ergonomic hold, but enjoying it overall so far.
I had to try this dish brush handle after purchasing the replacement heads accidentally (ordered them when my order history linked me to this product, rather than informing me that the product I had previously purchased was discontinued). Rather than getting rid of the incompatible heads, I gave this brush a go (and now have my old, perfectly fine brush handle with no compatible brushes).
Regardless of the disappointing Earth Hero experience that lead me to this specific product, I really do not like it at all. It’s a lot thinner than the wider, silicone version, and I struggle to hold onto it while washing dishes, especially for a prolonged period of time. It hurts my hand quite a bit, and I often lose grip and drop it into my dishes. I’m worried it will break a dish one of these times I drop it due to the too-thin silhouette.
Photo attached with old version (incompatible with this brush), and new version (too thin to comfortably hold). This is fine to wash my dishes for now, but I am actively searching for an alternative.
I bought this because I’m trying to be more eco friendly by stopping using my plastic dish handle and brush. I’m writing this review because I would like to request some updates in this items. First, the handle feels to small (both in width and length), making it not as comfortable to grab as my plastic one. Also it feels possibly weak in that I could see it snapping in half or deteriorating over time. Also I worry about the flimsiness of the wire that attaches the removable brush from the handle. I worry that it will bend or the brush might snap off while the wire is still inside and get stuck. In this case, for those watching, for now, if you need to scrub something tough with the brush, I suggest removing it from the handle and using only the brush. ZWS, I would love to see these updates.
I like the concept of these but don’t trust they will last. The removable brush itself seems to be good so far, but I don’t feel it is stable inside the handle. I wanted to switch to being more eco friendly from my usual plastic sponge handle, but this one doesn’t seem as sturdy and I can foresee it breaking. I would suggest you revise this product, as I would buy the updated version. I would like to see it a little stronger and bigger (fatter handle, but also longer). It feels like it’s thin and lightweight, but also very hard like it could snap or just deteriorate over time. Brush itself like I said is fine but I’m not so sure of its security inside the handle and could see the little wire part breaking and getting stuck inside the handle or it just bending if someone cleans more aggressively (not saying you should and I wouldn’t though); in that case, I would just remove the brush from the handle for those tougher cleans. Please consider this ZWS!
