Hydrate Solid Face Wash Bar

Great for a bar, not drying!

I understand what others are saying regarding the lack of solidity of this cleanser. It doesn't lose it's shape but if you press too much you can re-shape the surface, and personally I prefer something more solid. It works well for my skin (very, very sensitive) and does not burn or irritate my face, but it has a very strong smell (not my preference) and the formula itself doesn't "wow" me. It seems to me that most HiBar products smell strongly (the conditioner and shampoo bars do), so it may just be a brand thing. Typically, I go for solid face washes, but this is my least favorite of the three I have tried (two from a different brand). I think I will use this as a soap instead of face wash just because I dislike the smell so much.

I have really sensitive and usually dry skin. I use a double cleanse with olive oil to remove my sunscreen and then this cleanser. I always follow up immediately with a moisturizer. My skin doesn't feel tight, and it feels nice and clean. I have been using it exclusively for a few weeks now and I really like it. I haven't had a reaction yet, which is good for me. I do only use my hands on it and keep it in a soap container when not in use to dry (because of other reviewers saying that it was mushy). There is nothing crazy about this cleanser, but I am very happy with a basic and sensitive-friendly and eco-friendly face wash.

It works but it basically becomes a melted squishy mess even if you don't keep it in the bathroom and left to air dry.

Love it! Moisturizing but skin feels so clean- recommend washing your face twice with it for best results!

I really wanted to like this because I looooooove their shampoo. I do like the concept of the gentle exfoliant (which is my primary desire in a face wash), but I have a hard time rinsing this particular soap off of my face. It kind of seizes, and clings to my skin while the water merely glides over the soap rather than cutting through it to rinse it away. The wash leaves a film on my face, even when I use it in the shower and run my face under the shower head. I have to either use a face brush and/or a dry wash cloth to scrub off the residue, and then rinse my face again. I am slightly irritated that I have to scrub away an exfoliant. I am going to finish the two bars that I have (I was *really* relying on my love of the shampoo) because it was expensive, but I will not be purchasing this face wash again.

Seems to clean my face with. No skin reactions yet, but it does sting my eyes quite a bit. I have had a face wash do this in a long time.

I finally used up my old liquid face wash and was looking for a new eco-friendly, non-soap, non-drying one. This looked to fit those requirements. It doesn't dry out my skin at all and just feels nice every night. I have acne-prone skin and I haven't broken out with this bar. It definitely won't get any makeup off it if you're looking for something like that. My only real issue is that the bar seems to melt in the heat. It becomes gummy and squishy in hot and/or humid environments. I took it traveling to a tropical area and it never dried out. I was worried I was gonna bring back mush in a bag. It's a very weird issue, but something to take into consideration. I will continue to purchase and use it since it works well for my skin.

This was very gentle and non drying. A nice daily wash.

I ordered this because what I was using at the time seemed to start irritating my face and striping it. This bar feels gentle, not drying, and leaves my skin feeling clean.

Great face wash bar without any crazy fragrances or irritants, love the plastic free packaging but most importantly it gets all the make up off my face without stripping my skin of all its moisture. Def recommend.
