About This Item:

Did you know there are tiny microfibers made of plastics in our clothes that are released when we wash our laundry? That can’t be good for us or the animals and ecosystems in our waterways. Cora Ball is an eco-friendly, zero-waste, recycled, and recyclable solution to preventing these microfibers from further damaging our environment.

Cora Ball works in two ways: it collects loose microfibers from clothes in the laundry and helps prevent microfibers from breaking off your clothes.

Specifications:

  • Cora Ball should be used when washing your clothes
    • Cora Ball will not get damaged in the dryer, but it is meant for the washer
  • The fibers caught in your Cora Ball are not recyclable, as laundry lint is not currently a recyclable material
  • Do NOT use with delicate laundry or open stitched items, as the Cora Ball might catch these fabrics and harm your delicate clothing
  • Cora Ball is safe for any type of washing machine
  • Colors vary with the recycling market

How to Use: For most loads of laundry, just toss one Cora Ball into the washing machine with your laundry. For extra-large loads, use up to three. When fibers accumulate on your Cora Ball, simply comb them out with your fingers as you would with hair on a hairbrush and throw them away.

End of Life: Cora Ball is designed to last about 5 years. When your Cora Ball reaches the end of its life, send it back to Cora with their Cora Ball take-back program. Cora will recycle your old ball to give life to a new one. It doesn’t get more zero-waste than that!

Materials: Cora Ball is made entirely in the United States with 100% recycled materials, including Cora Balls sent in with the take-back program.

Cora Ball is shipped directly from the manufacturer and is available for US Customers ONLY

Doesn't seem to be doing anything

I've done 20 loads of laundry; including microfiber clothes and fleece blankets - things that should shed a lot. There is nothing at all stuck to the ball; with the exception of shreds of towel b/c it shreded one of my kitchen towels.

Hi Jillian, thank you for your feedback. The ball catches even the smallest of microfibers and they add up overtime! We will relay this information to Coraball as well.

Pro: Interesting concept, Con: Not practical for use based on its size

I was so pressed to finally buy this and get my hands on one. Now, I hardly use it. The chunky rubber claw hands of this are TOO big to do anything. I feel like the washer just washes away any pesky microfibers and this doesn't capture like it should. Unfortunately because of this I wouldn't recommend it.

    Broke after 2 months

I really wanted this to work. Mine broke after 2 month of getting it. And this is not a cheaply priced item, but I guess the way it was made was...since it's not efficient for laundry...its intended use.
Very disappointing since it has now become useless and added to the waste we are trying to prevent. It would also get tangled alot in my clothes if I didn't sort them into a washing bag to protect them from this device. I would not recommend unfortunetly. I hope their creators can come up with a solution soon.

    Gets caught

I've used this for a while and it never seems to collect any fibers. It did however get caught on a string on an item of clothing. This got very tangled and I spent a long time detangling it. Wouldn't recommend.
