Similar to the other reviewer, mine came off in clumps and was EXTREMELY dry. I could rub my finger on it with full force and none of the product would come off...I bought this several months ago and have kept trying it - it never works. My product is also not cold (which is what the company offered as a solution), considering I don't have AC in my apartment. Sad because the message behind the brand is great. Perhaps it is a bad batch, as the other review said...
I love the packaging. I initially bought this to be more of a contouring stick. However I would not recommend it for that. It has quite a bit of shimmer in it, so I have used it as a cream eye shadow more. I would use this in the summer to have more of a summer glow, but wouldn't recommend for contour per se. All that to be said I gave it a 4/5 because it does not blend very well, and if you do get it to blend, I feel like you lose a lot of the pigment and end up having to apply more. Otherwise works fine for certain uses.
Very lightweight texture with a lovely golden bronze pigment that blend easily. Perfect for summer with all the right ingredients and compostable packaging!
I saw other reviews saying it was chalky and came apart. I was scared mine would be like that so I tried to push out the smallest section possible so i wouldn’t make it crumble. It didn’t crumble at all! It was cold weather and it held together pretty well, but i think others should try warming it up a litte bit to remelt the butter ingredients or maybe they were pressing it too hard upon application…
Not waterproof but wasn’t expecting it to be. Smells like cocoa, shea butter and that makeup smell most products have.
I used it as bronzer and as eyeshadow. Both held up pretty well after a day of shopping. Im hispanic and have a lighter tan skin and i liked how it looked, I could’ve easily applied too much because of the pigment. My white friend with more translucent skin didn’t like it on her skin, it was way too dark.
The picture and video are taken in yellow lighting.
I had high hopes for this based on the reviews, but it doesn't go on smoothly-- chunks break and crumble off, which fall on the bathroom counter or have to be brushed off my face. And the strong castor oil smell is not really the smell I like on my face-- a bit rancid. I've tried to like it, but just don't end up using it, which is a pitty since it was pretty pricey.
I don't know if I just got a defective one.: (
