Loofah Sponges come from the dried loofah plant, a cousin to cucumbers! While you can’t scrub with a cucumber, a loofah sponge makes an amazing plastic replacement for bath, dish, and cleaning sponges.
- Loofah sponges are rough when dry but soft enough to gently scrub pans (and skin) when wet
- Sustainably sourced loofah sponges are 100% plant-fiber based
- There may be black seeds trapped in the loofah; they will fall out over time
- Loofah sponges can be composted or buried in the garden at the end of their life
- The paper sleeve can be recycled or composted
