Sadly, some trash is unavoidable. While curbside recycling and reducing your waste at home can have a huge impact on what ends up in landfills, some types of waste need a specialty recycling center to get the job done.
With TerraCycle's Zero Waste Boxes, you can collect your hard-to-recycle materials, and ship them to TerraCycle for free! Terracycle will then properly recycle the items. With the Fabrics and Clothing Zero Waste Box, you can recycle clothing scraps, fabric scraps, and other textiles that can't be used any more that would otherwise be headed to the landfills!
How to TerraCycle: Choose your size and type of Zero Waste Box. When you receive your box, fill it with the corresponding waste. Once full, ship your box back to TerraCycle using the free, prepaid shipping label which will already be on your box. When they receive your box, they'll safely recycle all of the collected materials!
Sizes: Small: 11" x 11" x 20"; Medium: 11" x 11" x 40"; Large: 15" x 15" x 37"
Packaging: In order to protect the box during shipment, your TerraCycle box will be wrapped in a plastic bag. When you receive your box, just put the plastic bag inside and TerraCycle will ensure it gets recycled properly!
*Accepted waste: Fabrics and clothing including bibs, burp cloths, blankets, breast pads, changing pads, diaper bags, pillows, bedsheets, linens, play mats, play rugs, privacy wraps, mattress protectors, jeans, denim bags and accessories, canvas bags, mail bags, canvas tents, shirts, sweaters, tees, shorts, skirts, pants, socks, under garments, active wear, sleepwear, rainwear, hoodies, jackets, towels, non-plastic bath mats, bedding, window treatments, outdoor fabric from patio furniture, outdoor fabric mats or other similar fabrics
*Unaccepted waste: electronic heating blankets, organics, broken glass, bio-medical waste, soiled diapers, expired medication, pesticides, paint, pressurized canisters, and medical sharps
End of life: Send box back to TerraCycle using the prepaid shipping label to have contents recycled properly
Shipping: Ships within 5 - 7 business days directly from TerraCycle; TerraCycle items are unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or other offshore territories.
