🪒For my first shave with the leaf razor, I used a shave soap from a local maker, and just some old towels to dry to make sure all hair was shaved completely, then hop in the shower.

🌿My arm and leg hair were over a year of growth, so about an inch or so long. It did take some time, about an hour, to shave, however I’d imagine once the stubble grows in, it will be a lot more of a closer shave to what I experienced. (I also only used 2 blades, so I may try for 3 next time so see if that improves the closeness of the shave!)

✅Pros:

barely feels like there are any razors against your skin, all you feel is metal and it’s super gentle!
the color spruce is GORGEOUS!
the leaf razor is light, in my opinion
super easy to set up since it uses magnets to hold the blades in place, as well as uses a twist cap
At the end of this razor (and the blades) life, it can be recycled into scrap metal! (Unlike disposable razors which just sit in landfills)
the blades on the Leaf shave only cost CENTS, as compared to the cartridge blade refills on disposables, which just end up in landfills

❌Cons:
handle does get slippery, and for a $89 product, I feel as though the design could improve in time. (I know they sell a grip separately)

Do not be intimidated! This razor works great and is easy to use, however the weight might take some getting used to. I get a nice close shave. The head is magnetized so the blades are super easy to install. I got it in rose gold with a stand and it looks so sexy in my shower!

I'll speak from a personal experience. I've cut myself on accident yes.. but I believe I'm to blame for that. I've shaved a few times and I've only experience a few minor cuts with it. So it's not worst then a plastic one. I love it it's very durable and I like the weight of it.

I've been using this for two years now and have had no issues. It is durable and solid, easy to keep clean, and works great! The pivoting head is really what makes this the best reusable razor I have used. Being able to customize how many blades you use at a time is also super nice. I feel like the grip sleeve should come with it since it is very slippery and hard to use without it.

I loved this razor for the 5 years I had it - truly. But the screw on the back stopped holding the top in place, and after some research I found this is a common issue. It may even be part of why they're discontinuing it.
I bought this razor expecting it to last a lifetime, so discovering the part isn't replaceable was disappointing. What made it worse was reaching out to customer service twice over nearly two months and never receiving a response.
Great concept, poor follow-through on both the product's durability and customer support.

The razor is easy to use and pretty effective. It's not effective as quickly as the disposable razors I've used, but it's good enough that that piece, in combination with the better materials and plastic reduction, make this a worthwhile purchase. I will add that the rose gold is more of a weird orange. It's a bummer, but not a deal breaker. Also, but the grip sleeve. I think that should just come with the razor but it's sold separately. Again, this is still a worthwhile purchase.

I love this razor! I was hesitant to purchase it and quite nervous and intimidated the first time I used it, but it's actually super easy to use and I wish I would have purchased it sooner. It is a little slippery, but nothing too bad. I bought the sleeve to help with this, but haven't put it on just yet. The shave is very smooth and lasts substantially longer than my previous razor's did.

This razor needs no introduction- it is fantastic! It has a nice weighted feel and glides so smoothly. It is such an intuitive swap to plastic razors; I highly recommend.

I have Been wanting a steel razor for a long time, but wanted to use the ones I had Till they completely died. After I found That I can recycle them on TerraCycle, I bought my steel razor! I really didn’t care about the color, but the rainbow actually turns out to be pretty cool. I started with 2 blades and learned that I didn’t need to apply so much pressure. I use lots of soap and have moved up to using 3 blades. Love it!!

Smoothest shave ive ever had

I really wanted to love it! But it nicked me in several spots and wasn’t a close shave so I can’t imagine not shaving confidently every time. Not sure I can get a refund either. 😟

For the cost of the Pivoting head stainless steel razor I expected a much better handle. It is impossible to grip the handle without it continuously sliding making shaving a completely irritating task. I recollect seeing some sort of handle cover while searching for the razor however my brain figured that could not be a necessity for using a costly razor. I feel scammed scammed by the company and am turned off by reviews that I read raving about the great quality when the handle is so ineffective.

Beautiful razor and works great! Haven't cut myself at all yet, but I did lots of research on using safety razors beforehand; Don't press, just let it glide with its own weight. The pivoting head feels a little fragile to me, like it might be prone to break, but helpfully not. It's hard to get the knees, but maybe that's just because I'm not used to saftey razors. It's great to have a beautiful alternative to plastic disposable razors. Just wish they were manufactured in the USA, as its a US based company and they claim to promote sustainability.

Blades are easy to install and remove. I clean and dry both the blades and the housing after every shave. Smooth, long-lasting shave. Glad I left disposible razors behind!

Even with all 3 blades, it is much more sensitive than regular plastic razors. It shaves very well.

I tried this after my more conventional safety razor broke, unable to be fixed. This is a much better option for those who shave their legs, the movable head makes it so much easier to use, especially around knees and ankles.

I’ve tried several straight razors recently and this is the best! I have very sensitive skin - I knick myself every time I shave with a straight razor but not with this one! My legs and sanity thank Leaf Shave. :)

Yep, 4 years and still going strong. I bought this razor before it was on ZWS and before anyone I knew had one. Quickly bought another for my husband... then bought us the twig (smaller, 1 blade option for "edging" lol)... around a year or 2 after, I bought 3 more as Christmas gifts. Seriously I can't even tell I'm using a "straight blades" because the pivoting head on this razor.. the only thing I notice is I get a closer shave ("smoother") and my skin doesn't itch after from the moisturizing strips. If you follow them on IG you can see videos of the company demoing the razor too.

I don't work for the company and I'm not being paid to post this review, I sincerely love this razor and think everyone should own one; you will not regret it!

Wish I had found this razor years ago! Works better than a Venus razor and zero plastic waste! Blades go into a tin that gets sent back to the manufacturer for recycling. I will never go back to plastic!

Looking for a sustainable option to ditch the disposables and I love this razor. The rainbow colors is a mood boost when I use it. It just makes me happy to see the colors.

This razor is awesome! You’ll definitely need to put a grip on the handle otherwise it’s kind of hard to hold it straight. But it shaves very well and the blades are super easy to replace. I also love how much less waste I’m creating. Highly recommend!
