Since 2018, the ZeroWasteStore and team has strived to be a trusted place to bring you the best zero waste and sustainable products for your lifestyle and your household. We have always believed, and will always continue to believe, that millions of people doing zero waste imperfectly is better than a few people being perfectly zero waste.
While many people doing zero waste imperfectly is the goal, we also recognize that zero waste and sustainable products are more expensive. We always encourage upcycling and recycling whenever possible to reduce your waste but we wanted to do more than that.
To help people get started on their zero waste journey or add to what they’re already doing, we are launching ZeroWasteStore Essentials — a line of sustainable and zero waste essentials at a lower, more affordable price!

What is ZeroWasteStore Essentials
ZeroWasteStore Essentials will be bringing you quality sustainable and zero waste products that meet our eco-standards. This line include essentials such as toothpaste, dish, soap dishes, loofahs, dish brushes and more, come at a lower, more affordable price.
Why ZeroWasteStore Essentials
Short Answer — because we needed to.
As with anything, it’s easy to think if you’re not being perfectly zero waste then there’s no point in even trying. This is especially true with conflicting information, zero waste influencers and social media.
At some point we’ve all thought, what difference can I make? I’m just one person.
But you’re so much more than just one person! Your passion is contagious and the things you care about become things other people care about. You’re the influence with the people you come into contact with, and even in ways you don’t realize.
Like your trip to the grocery store with reusable produce bags. You could have inspired someone to do the same, you could have inspired a person launching a whole line of eco-friendly reusable bags. You never know! The same repeated action day after day, year after year and throughout a lifetime adds up!
While it would be absolutely incredible for all of us to be zero waste, we understand it’s not feasible for a lot of people most people. Unfortunately, the world we live in was not made in a way that sustainable products are available to everyone at affordable prices.
As a small business, we’re proud to work with the other small businesses we do. Every company we work with meets our quality standards for ethical sourcing, sustainable materials, fair labor, plastic-free principals, and so much more.
But we want to take things a step further. Our goal is to build a community of like-minded people who build each other up rather than guilt each other for not being ‘sustainable enough’. And we know that some people are left out of the zero waste journey as it stands right now. We’re doing what we can and will continue doing what we can to make zero waste accessible to everyone.
How We Were Able To Launch ZeroWasteStore Essentials
We can’t give away all our secrets but the long and short of it is that we found companies who support our mission and also follow sustainable practices.
We came up with a few starter essential products and saw where and how we could negotiate lower prices. From there we compiled a ‘starter package’ if you will of products we wanted to start with under the ZWS Essentials brand. Purchasing in super bulk further reduces prices as well as emissions. It’s a win-win!
