GladRags - Reusable White Organic Night Pad

The average menstruating human uses 12,000 to 16,000 disposable menstrual products in their lifetime. Thatʼs a lot of waste littering our landfills and oceans! Not to mention the manufacturing, packaging, and transportation waste of getting these products from the factory to you.

Wear this breathable, all-organic cotton pad at night while you sleep, on heavy flow days, or during postpartum recovery, for the ultimate leak protection. Our GladRags Organic Night Pads are longer and wider to provide more coverage. In addition to extra coverage, the night holder contains a layer of ultra-absorbent terry cloth. Each pad has a unique three-part design which allows you to customize the pad according to your flow. Choose from one or two absorbent organic inserts included to place inside the holder, or use the holder alone for lighter days while you slumber!

Our Organic Night Pad has heavy absorbency. Each Pad includes one holder and two inserts and has a snap closure. Comes unpackaged with instructions.

Perfect for someone if:

  • you have just given birth and need postpartum protection
  • you tend to leak heavily over the front or back of your pads
  • you have heavy flow

Night Pad Sizing: 14" long, 3" width in middle, 5" at widest, 7.5" insert length

Cleaning & Care: Separate inserts from the holder. Soak in cold water, if desired, to help prevent staining. Use the pre-soak function on your washing machine, or soak in a covered rust-proof container. Change soaking water often. Machine wash cold using a natural detergent or hand-wash and tumble dry low or line dry (preferred method). Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Store flat to eliminate wrinkling. Store your pads in a clean, dry place until next use.

Handmade in the USA. Free of pesticides, chemicals, fragrance, and plastics.

Very nice

Very comfortable, soft, thin, absorbent, wide back, stays in place (even the insert). Rinses out well. Soaking is recommended but I do not. I rinse out, then wash in regular laundry. There is a little staining, but it’s not bad at all (not very dark).

I'm really impressed with this product! The materials are high quality and the design is smart. First of all, the cotton must be brushed, because it has a velvety-texture - very soft on the skin and probably contributing to absorbency. The sewing and construction are strong and hold up well to scrubbing and washing. As for design, this overnight pad has tons of coverage in the front and back (really helpful if you are a front or back sleeper) and has inserts that slide under the main pad to provide extra absorbency where you need it the most. Because there are multiple components, you can customize the configuration (no inserts, 1 insert, or 2 inserts) depending on how much you need.

I really wanted to challenge this product, so I wore it overnight for 15 consecutive hours on my heaviest day of flow (I should mention that I'm 40 years old, so my flow may not be as heavy as a 20-year-old, but it's still quite heavy). The result? It worked beautifully! Totally leak-free!

I also like to use the inserts on their own (safety pined to my underwear, lol) as a pantyliner on the days that I'm spotting.

As for washup, I've developed a nice system: I take it off in the morning and wet it in the sink. I let it sit there while I'm showering. After the shower, I rinse the pad several times until the water is mostly clear. Then, I place it in a container with a little detergent. If there's heavy stains, I add a little bit of enzyme powder. After soaking for an hour, I rinse a few times and put it in with a regular laundry load.

Totally happy with this purchase. I will be buying more for sure!

Diaper!

I love the concept of this, but the reality is that it’s pretty uncomfortable! Feels thick and doesn’t wick moisture the way contemporary disposables do. I’m disappointed that I purchased two, I should have just tested one to see if I liked it first.
