I am very clean and always disinfecting, so found myself going through far too many paper towels than I felt comfortable with. Therefore, my boyfriend and I decided to start looking for paper towel alternatives. I happened to find these reusable "paper" towels through an ad on my instagram so we decided to give them a shot!
-These "paper" towels are the PERFECT size. I read a review or two prior to purchasing saying that they were so small. I felt they were comparable to regular paper towels and they fit on my paper towel holder perfectly, as paper towels would. (I wish I could attach a pic because you wouldn't even notice they were not paper towels until you got close!
-I was honestly worried about the cleanliness of having reusable "paper" towels. We cook with a lot of meat and therefore the convenience of paper towels that I could throw away always beat out rags for me. We bought a 12 pack (and plan to buy another 12 pack as soon as they are restocked) and I feel it is just as convenient to have a bin that is only used for dirty reusable "paper" towels that I can toss one in after using it once for meat clean up. When I use for hands/drying dishes I leave the paper towel on a hanger and reuse as much as possible before tossing it into the dirty bin. The only reason we are wanting to get more reusable "paper" towels is to have enough to last us one whole week so we don't have to do a mid-week wash, we just wash with our other things like normal to conserve water.
-We decided to go with the white to look just like paper towels. I was worried about stains, etc with the white, so I hesitated A LOT. My boyfriend and I discussed if there was a tough stain we could use bleach if necessary. We have had these "paper" towels for just over a month now, and we use them for cleaning up after having meat on our counter, for our hands, for dishes, and for a quick dry of our cast iron. This means that our "paper" towels get DIRTY. However, we still have not had to use bleach because every time we wash with normal detergent on warm, the stains have perfectly come out.
-I also wanted to add, these actually cling!! I was afraid they wouldn't stay on our paper towel holder. We just used an old paper towel tube (we have kept many for various reasons), laid the reusable "paper" towels down on the counter and rolled them up! It works REALLY well! I honestly could not be happier with it!
Overall, I love these and plan on using them forever.
