Reusable Cotton Swab

LastSwab is a reusable, sustainable, and sanitary alternative to cotton swabs, buds, and q-tips. It helps combat the billions of single-use cotton swabs that are produced every day. Available in basic or beauty styles, LastSwab beauty has a pointed tip specially designed for makeup touch-ups.

LastSwab is tested to withhold up to 1,000 uses.

Each swab comes in a bio-based carrying case made from plant-based plastic or recycled ocean plastic and features a soft-feel tip made of medical TPE.

Easily clean them with water and a little soap. You can also use a disinfectant like rubbing alcohol to sanitize it.
*We do not recommend putting Last Swab deep into ear canal. Please use responsibly

Work great, but only for 1 year

I purchased a 4-pack of these from the official site 4 years ago, and all of them have since broken. About one every year. To be more specific, the scraper part at the ends rip in half, exposing the thin stick they form a bubble around. Good concept, but not very poorly executed (at least back in 2017 when the company was still new). Is throwing away a stick of silicone once a year less wasteful than throwing away 365 sticks of plant fiber? I’m not sure. However, I’m hesitant about going back to fiber swabs because I’ve really grown to liking the texture of this swab. It took some time getting used to at first, but my ears felt so much cleaner from the friction vs just sweeping up wax.

Not an easy switch

I was very excited to reduce my q-tip waste for cleaning up mascara, a reusable q-tip seemed like a perfect way to do this. I guess I made the assumption that the ends of this cotton swab would hold water similarly to the cotton q-tips, but that is not the case. They are made of silicone, they do not absorb liquid, so I am pretty unclear as to what this item is best used for. With a little bit of effort and patience, I have been able to make it work, but mostly I am wiping the mascara away from my eye and then cleaning it off with a tissue. Not terribly effective.

Hi Angela,

A great way to use these is by applying a small amount of water to your face first and then with a mild wash applied to the q-tip, wipe the mascara off. It is definitely something different to get used too, but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy :)

broke in half

I really liked the idea of this. But it broke in half the 4th time i used it. I will still keep it and use the half - really not a huge problem. But i was disappointed.
